Makes perfect sense, because CoD teaches you proper grip, trigger control, breathing, sight picture, weapon handling, and how to break recoil anticipation. Who needs years of practice and discipline when you can just turn on your PS3? |

I've been a gamer for 30 years. I've played some games obsessively, quite possibly for 17 hours at a time.

It would be more accurate to do that, since he was a religious extremist, not some pissed off gamer that decided he wanted to kill people in real life. I'm not saying that the christian teachings are to blame here, but rather his personal religious beliefs. |

At first when I heard about the bombing and murders I was sure people would immediately jump to the conclusion that Muslims were behind the attacks. They did, and I made sure to point it out when they found out it was a nationalist Christian like themselves. Still they do not care, and try to blame it all on videogames. |

Penn and Teller took an interesting approach to this issue. They found a kid who plays games like COD all the time, took him out to the woods, gave him a real version of one of the guns he plays with in his video games, and told him to shoot it (under appropriate supervision, of course).
The kid was in tears after just shooting the gun in the woods, not even pointing it something living. |
