Saturday, April 21, 2012 9:30:06 PM "this is a 2004 movie they insert english subtitle and is ready to rip off the american tears and money again " and if it starts making enough money then hollywood will remake it with out pesky subtitles to create a movie that wasn't quite as good as the original but at least its in english. ie: "the girl with the dragon tattoo" and "let the right one in" god damn hollywood.... |

Saturday, April 21, 2012 8:46:40 AM @ mievaan The institute the dog is from can have a lot to do with the "name" The dog my wife received before she died was from 'Guide dogs for the blind'. Hence "Guide dog". Guide dogs can learn routes. When my wife wished to go to the post office she would get to side walk and then her dog would take her there when prompted. The store, city utilities, and an exercise path were memorized routes as well. |

Saturday, April 21, 2012 7:16:04 AM "When I get lost Quill takes me home" - Don't guide dogs just make sure there are no dangers in the way they are going, and not guide the person in the sense or remembering the route to particular places? "Seeing-eye-dogs" being a more appropriate name to them instead of "guide dogs". |

Saturday, April 21, 2012 5:51:16 AM Guess what movie hollywood will soon start making to hit theaters next year? We steel all of Japan's horror movies, so I'm pretty sure we'll rip this one off too.

Friday, April 20, 2012 4:48:00 PM It's a new movie coming to theaters in May. @MountainBord the video was ripped from Apple Trailers, that's why there is an apple in the corner: http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/independent/quillthelifeofaguidedog/ |

Friday, April 20, 2012 3:12:42 PM I'm confused. The Wikipedia entry for this film indicates that it was released in 2004 and screened at the TIFF that year. So, is this a remake/recut, or is it the same film? |

Friday, April 20, 2012 3:09:55 PM It sucks that the movie's target audience won't be able to see it. X( |

Friday, April 20, 2012 2:29:06 PM My dog is a retired guide. Incredible amounts of training are put into them. He is the best behaved dog I've ever been around. |

Friday, April 20, 2012 2:19:37 PM @Crakr: I think it will end sadly (dogs only live so long, eh?) but IMHO it wouldn't be tragic since the dog and human had a (mostly) happy life together! That's how I'd film it. Still: bring a whole box of tissues! |

Friday, April 20, 2012 12:44:17 PM lyonartime: you seriously need to stop talking. the ability of a dog to wait for a command before moving is a sign of a great guide dog. He sticks by his master through good times and bad---Quill in this clip has a very big heart, and a lot of personality. So please, for the love of God, shut up. |
