No 'flame' intended, but if I want to hear an outspoken christian all I have to do is turn on the tv, or the radio, or drive down the street to one of the hundreds of churches that are within a 20 minute drive from my house, and there is plenty of internet content as well. As an atheist the internet is about it. |

thatjimguy. If you're not literal believers in the scriptures why GO to church then!?! You are helping to perpetuate the sense of entitlement the church has and vicariously helping to stunt scientific knowledge and the progress of mankind. If you can start to see the flaws in following religion then surely you are 'through the looking glass' and can pick apart the rest of it. |

mandingo, the irony is that what you see as a double standard, everyone else sees as common sense.
I mean, would you post something in favor of someone/something that condones infanticide, or selling your kids into the sex slave trade, or even slave beating/keeping etiquette?

The thing is you don't have to be an atheist to believe in many of the things he talks about. MOST people are not literal believers, lest the TV, news stations, pundits and comedians would have us believe. Do you really think most people are literal that go to church every week? Ask them and find out. |
