That's...ominous.
This disconnect between us and the government and their cozy whatever they have going on with big businesses and wall street is scary. It's not like anyone doesn't realize why something like this is getting passed; said big businesses that are cozy with the gov and politicians want it, so it gets passed. Screw what's best for us.
Not like we'd stop em' anyways. These days the majority of people are either too apathetic or too uneducated to even make a difference. I certainly can't condemn them though, as I do far less than I could or should as well.
The problem is that 'they' have taken advantage of that apathy to slowly widen the gap to the point in which we basically have a ruling class, and a commoner class again. Politicians, 'big players' in business, wall street execs, 'the 1%'; they're the ruling class. We're the commoners.

sorry but you cannot cite Wikipedia. also there will always be fraudulent filings, and anything that can help small businesses should not be stopped because of something that already happens. now if there is an increase, guess what, thats why we have investigators and the police.
to me this is the same as asking for voter id laws. |

I could only watch half of this video, but I totally DISAGREE with them. The smaller companies need to be able to get funding easier. The SEC filing is ridiculously expensive and time consuming.

Just want to point out that The Real News is a member funded news organization and does not accept corporate funding, even PBS accepts corporate funding.
Donate if you like news from experts in their field that you will not hear or see on television. Let's just say it straight up, the presenters may not be photogenic but their information is legit and truthful. Sadly, a few of the journalists interviewed by the real news have been murdered within their respective countries for speaking their minds.
