Tuesday, April 17, 2012 12:10:55 PM If she really killed herself because of people trolling, then I'm surprised she made it to the point she did in life. Tons of people all over think and say things about others all the time. That's been happening since before the internet was ever around. Being able to go "Yeah, whatever, f*** you." is just a necessary life skill. Even if it does affect you, you can't show that. I'm hoping and assuming there were numerous reasons aside from the 'trolling' that led her to off herself. This wasn't some middle school kid who's getting 'cyber' bullied and called gay or something. This was a grown woman, one who clearly had a certain amount of public exposure. If by that age she didn't get how to brush off criticisms from worthless jackoffs on the internet, chances are suicide was inevitable. She didn't need to not be criticized. She obviously needed significant psychological/psychiatric intervention and to get a hint of self esteem. |

Monday, April 16, 2012 9:01:16 PM @altaru. Not likely that trolling will leak out to real life, mainly due to the cowardice inherent in the troll. If it does, there are real life solutions (cops, lawsuits, criminal charges, courts, and , depending on who you are and how bad it gets, "direct action") |

Monday, April 16, 2012 11:44:30 AM @LikeIGiveASh: I agree, some people aren't taught empathy. Unfortunately, that's a dying virtue. The best thing is to ignore people like that. They lead sad lives. |

Monday, April 16, 2012 11:38:42 AM so after one month of being trolled she apparently goes from completely stable to suicidal? me thinks she may have already been suffering from severe depression long before the trolling started. i agree that correlation doesn't imply causation. |

Monday, April 16, 2012 7:24:48 AM Correlation doesn't imply causation. If you're going to kill yourself because people on the internet don't like you then you really are pathetic. |

Monday, April 16, 2012 7:04:11 AM trolls on the internet have nothing better to do than be a bunch of morons. when they talk about you remeber that all the false things they say are 1) not true and 2) they probably have no friends except other trolls |

Monday, April 16, 2012 5:56:46 AM she had many many serious problems before appearing on the t.v. show; being an attention whore was one. and what's the ultimate attention getting device? suicide or attempted suicide. maybe she miscalculated. if you base your life on the image (not the total being) that gazes back at you from a mirror you have a sad life indeed. |

Monday, April 16, 2012 12:46:53 AM Yeah it's not a nice thing but I see this every day. In short, women (particularly) that have nothing between their ears and who have survived solely on their looks. Take that self confidence away and they crumble. moral of the story... get a good education ladies! - that way when your looks fade or someone throws words at you, you have something to fall back on |

Sunday, April 15, 2012 11:06:58 PM I don't see what she did to get the trolls on her, but still, it's not like they matter. Even if they managed to ruin her career, there is always another option. |

Sunday, April 15, 2012 10:32:10 PM My thoughts: natural selection at its finest. Sure, it is sad that such a beauty (im assuming she is beautiful) is gone, but if a person kills themselves over internet randoms that don't matter for poo, then good riddance. |

Sunday, April 15, 2012 9:39:26 PM I think they mean she was killed by an actual troll. Hell, they have like 8 hit dice and can only be killed with fire or acid. |

Sunday, April 15, 2012 9:01:23 PM It wasn't mentioned, but has anyone considered the possibility that the "trolling" wasn't confined to the net? I mean, like what happened to that Jessi Slaughter girl. Info got posted, phone calls were made, people started harassing IRL... Sure, you can step away from the computer, but sometimes assholes bring it out of the virtual world and start taking things way too far. |
