Is it really a "fail" when you intentionally try to withstand the wind from the force of the jet by attempting to cling to the fence?
The description makes it sound like they were completely unsuspecting or that it caught them by surprise. I'm pretty sure it didn't. |

Why don't they put up some sort of baffle instead of a fence?
Probably clearance issues - a baffle would need x meters of clearance, reducing an already short runway even further
