Sunday, April 08, 2012 10:25:34 AM Just like they're doing to Greece. Create a fiscal disaster by over leveraging their economy and then place their Technocrats in power(Newspeak for Bank Appointed Czar)and sell their resources. |

Saturday, April 07, 2012 12:49:20 AM r66tramp: I want no part of that sort of socialist 're-education'. Blaming capitalism for the downfalls and subsequent hardships that communism and socialism caused is akin to blaming the WTC construction workers for 9/11. Reconstruction takes time and it requires rebuilding on a good foundation, expecting an instant turn around after a society has been so thoroughly indoctrinated into collectivism is not only unrealistic it's dubious. |

Friday, April 06, 2012 10:06:49 PM “it's no different than a drug addict being forced into rehab” You are in desperate need of education. I strongly suggest you go to a library and reserve a copy of N. Klein’s ‘The Shock Doctrine’ and read it, head to toe. Personally, I think Naomi Klein sucks hard as a public speaker, but her writing is where she shines. She is not an entertainer, or show person or politician. She is a thinker and a writer and her writing shines like gold. Klein has humanity at heart and her concern for the future is unprecedented. To knock her down, is to shove your head in your own arse.

Friday, April 06, 2012 6:51:12 AM kolchak, it appears that somebody changed my description slightly (not that it really matters in any case) but yes, you're completely right. And I just knew that Crakers would like it... ehem... |

Friday, April 06, 2012 12:28:36 AM Socialist pablum. Of course it's hard to switch from a communist/socialist regime to a capitalist one. Why? Because socialist and communist regimes artificially prop-up their economies with huge government spending. When that immense spending leads to austerity and economic collapse it will of course cause chaos. When employers can no longer afford the inflated union wages, of course people will be laid off and wages will drop. This woman tries to blame capitalism for the 'shock', but it's the fault of those that built an economic Jenga tower that are the cause of the collapses. When you get people addicted to free government handouts and then, out of economic necessity, have to cease giving away those 'entitlements' of course people will want to revolt, it's no different than a drug addict being forced into rehab. |

@ DingDingDong - no, but I did see 'Latter Days', a semi-autobiographical movie about a mormon missionary who is outed and forced to undergo electroshock treatments in a pray-away-the-gay institution. Naturally it failed leading him to attempt suicide before embracing 'the love that cannot be spoken' with a hot argentinian waiter. Did you see it? It was really good. Mary Kay Place was in it. |

It's too long so I couldn't watch it because The Big Bang Theory is on... but I do know electroshock will not turn gay people straight.
