Saturday, April 07, 2012 11:23:20 AM Why would Ryan Murphy waste time on making Rocky Horror when he should be busy killing himself with a butter knife? |

Friday, April 06, 2012 11:57:49 PM I LOVE Rocky Horror and I went out of my way(against my better judgement) to watch the glee episode of RHPS they did in 2011..It was F-cking awful. If that episode is any foreshadowing to his remake, I can only imagine it will go directly to the 5 dollar and under DVD bins.

I forgot it's the creator of GLEE doing it so we need to find roles for the Jonas Brothers somewhere in the film. |

Friday, April 06, 2012 9:18:48 AM Frankenfurter: Adam Lambert Janet: Selena Gomez Brad: Justin Beiber, (Very bland) Riffraff: Constantine (sings well, looks like a lizard) Magenta: Christina Hendricks Columbia: Christina Ricci Eddie: Axle Rose Dr. Scott: Nathan Lane Criminologist: Patrick Stewart Rocky: Chris Evans (Can he sing?) Here's my cast. Chris Evans, only because he looks the part, but not sure he can sing. Did Peter Hinwood sing his part? |

Friday, April 06, 2012 8:26:24 AM @Gerry You can tell it was a dream because of how unrealistic it is. I have revised your dream into a more doable, realistic cast. Frankenfurter - Arsenio Hall Janet - Kim Kardashian Brad - Arsenio Hall {in makeup} Riffraff - Eddie Murphy Magenta - Eddie Murphy {in makeup} Colombia - Eddie Murphy {in different makeup} Eddie - Arsenio Hall {in different makeup} Dr. Scott - Arsenio Hall {in a whole LOT of makeup} Criminologist - Nancy Grace & Rocky - Eddie Murphy {in a whole LOT of makeup} I can't fault a dream as it was only a dream but I hope you agree on this more realistic lineup. |

Friday, April 06, 2012 6:31:06 AM The thing with cult flicks is that they only became popular because they were such piles of poo in the first place. What on EARTH would inspire someone to remake a movie that is, objectively, a complete pile poo? |

Friday, April 06, 2012 1:40:00 AM I have a feeling that the ideas here are better than the actual casting will be. I'm sure there has to be a part for John Barrowman though I'm not certain he's right for Frankenfurter. Also, Richard O Brien must get a role somewhere. Maybe Matt Frewer for Riff Raff if he can sing. Looking at what others have said, could we have Columbia twins with Zooey Dechanel and Katy Perry? Not in keeping with the original but an ideal opportunity. |

Friday, April 06, 2012 12:54:48 AM That being stated... A CURSE upon whomsoever remakes such a classic... Seriously. There are just some pieces of art that should never be replicated. |

Friday, April 06, 2012 12:50:21 AM Frankenfurter: Marilyn Manson Janet: Alexa Vega Brad: Johnny Galecki RiffRaff: Anthony Stewart Head Magenta: Amanda Palmer (Dresden Dolls) Colombia: Fairuza Balk Eddie: Terrence Zdunich Rocky: Taylor Lautner (might look funny with blonde hair though) Dr. Scott: Michael Caine Criminologist: Alice Cooper I know... I borrowed some the cast of Repo!, But in all fairness, Darren Lynn Bousman would be the only director I'd trust to remake RHPS, and he'd probably call in some of those he's already worked with to fill some spots... |

Thursday, April 05, 2012 9:17:10 PM Cape Fear was a pretty bad-ass remake as well. Remakes generally suck though. |

Other noteworthy remakes are 'The Shop Around the Corner' 1940 starring James Steward and Margaret Sullivan. The Judy Garland/Van Johnson 1949 remake entitled 'Good Old Summer Time' was much better. But the re-remake 'You've Got Mail' in 1998 with Tom Hanks and that dizzy chick Meg Ryan was just sad. |

Thursday, April 05, 2012 8:10:30 PM @Gerry1 the remake of the Maltese Falcon was better too! The one with Bogey, Lorre and Greenstreet? It was a remake... What would happen if I said that I've never seen the original? @Buiadh: People would throw toast at you... Why? it is perfect now. Agreed @emmettyville! What "needs imroving"? Nothing! |

You hate remakes? Well brace yourselves, LOGAN'S RUN will be remade starring Ryan Gosling. If is sticks to the book, it could be better than the first movie. Why all this hate for Remakes? Some remakes age good. For example Judy Garlands remake of 'A Star Is Born' was better than Janet Gayner's and the re-remake by Barbra Streisand was also quite good, though how can I choose between Judy or Barbra?
