I think @Grendel's point is that Palin didn't use actual "crosshairs" and the MSM went berzerk, while several Democrats used ACTUAL crosshairs! And the MSM said nothing, even after it was pointed out. |

@ 5cats: I think you missed my point. I was saying that both are the same thing. They are both marking locations. However, the reasons used by Grendel were nothing but stretched meanings. Thus being a part of the rhetoric making him a hypocrite through his statement. I do not care which politically party used which. My "pro" Bush -he's an idiot- part of my post was merely using an actual fact given to me by Grendel's picture. Yes, my first post may have been confusing, my apologizes. |

@clancy: They identified locations on a map... using symbols that identify places on a map. How does that mean they're hypocrites?
The MSM however, ignored actual targets & crosshairs on DEM ads, but attacked Palin for NON-crosshairs.
THAT is hypocracy.

You might be stupid if...you think that a surveyor's mark and cross hairs aren't similar. Don't let common sense slow down your rhetoric. Hypocrisy at its finest. While I do not know the caption to the Palin map, with the Bush map the targets made sense because of the caption went with it. And in conclusion, who the drat cares if they used a cross hair, surveyor symbol or target? |

You remember incorrectly, her election did not use 'crosshairs'. In actually they were closer to a Surveyor Symbol or a publisher's crop/registration marks.

Now, look at the TARGETS on the DEMOCRATIC map, that no news organization ever complained about:

You were right about one thing, though: it was pretty unfair of me to criticise all Americans, and attribute characteristics to you as a whole based on the actions of the select few I've met on here and in the real world (although, Crakr was asking for the "dumb about geography" observation by stating that the Philippines was a UK/European problem, and 5Cats wasn't making North America seem too clever either by claiming that a UK women's prison was "hell on earth", then not even being able to name the prison he was talking about – WTFingF??). I note with interest, though, that whilst you leapt immediately to defend Americans against such stereotyping, there's been precious little criticism from any of you concerning the many, many equally-offensive comments on here that have attributedf stereotypical characteristics to groups like blacks and women. Think about it.

I'm glad that my views upset you, however. That's sometimes what it takes to confront conventional opinion or wilful ignorance. Just to clarify something, though, it's *not* just your government's actions that I object to – it is you, "ordinary" Americans. Another similarity between USA 2012 and Germany 1939 is that you both freely elected the governments that have gone on to do terrible things. Unlike the Soviet population under Stalin, or the North Koreans under Kim Jong-Il, you actually *chose* the successive governments that have engaged in torture and other human rights abuses, including as I've pointed out abuses directed towards your own children in custody.

It's one thing to be displeased and upset with a government, and I think it's important to voice those concerns, but to rattle off statements...
No, I'm not a troll. Whatever you or anyone else may think about my opinions, I believe I've made it abundantly clear by backing up my opinions with reports from independently-verifiable sources such as the US Department of Justice that they're based on truth. Trolls by comparison don't care about the truth - they'll just say anything to get a reaction; that's the difference.

We're a big country with a large population, we're going to have stupid people. Every single country is going to have stupid people.
Saying the things that you do really just makes you sound like an elitist prick, which I suppose doesn't bother you, since you continue to do it, but I cannot possible fathom how the poor people feel who have to interact on a daily basis with such an unpleasant sounding person such as yourself.
