Monday, April 09, 2012 10:31:08 PM Freaking Looney Toons.... None better. The early letterman is a riot to watch too. There's a combination of him not knowing how to manage the interview, and what seems like a general disinterest in talking to Mel at all... But Mel breaks him at 8:07... genuine laughter! You can't resist Mel Blanc. |

Saturday, April 07, 2012 2:13:24 PM "pumba62: You could tell Dave was in Awe of the man. He was completely speechless, stumbling over his words. Would be interesting to see how he would interview him today !" Mel Blanc was a big part of warner brothers industries. They didn't pay him with peanuts, they needed him like a toast needs butter. Of course Mel Blanc was wealthier then Letterman (back then at least) so that could have been a little intimidating for the guy. Of course mel Blanc died in 1989 so they wont have a chance to remake that interview. |
