Yeah, it's a Lithuanian truck driver - a lot of East- European truck cross into the border, carrying goods, far too under- equipped and inexperienced to drive under these conditions.
As dramatic as this video is, sadly this is everyday situation in Norway. Foreign drivers getting into trouble :p |

I just have to translate what that dude says, mostly because it's hilarious. I can be wrong, his voice is kinda weird, and he has a northern dialect, but anyway:
"Oh, Hell, it's so boring here!"
"oh, hell, ... Down to earth!"
And i mean that last one as the saying, like "he's really down to earth", not literally.

@carmium the tow truck was only helping the big truck to get up the hill, the big truck had summer tires and only 1 chain, so he was just spinning. on top of that he was lithuanian, didnt speak english of norwiegian and had poor knowledge how to drive in such condisions.
he was also very lucky and survived without any broken bones, they found him 50 meters down (about 165 feet) |

Why was the tow truck hauling the semi with a cable? Shouldn't you either lift the front end with the tow boom or else use a towing bar? |

well- I would far rather move to Norway, or most northern european countries. Good healthcare, decent welfare, high standard of living. Move to the U.S- not now- once it was a progressive nation but is rapidly becoming as backward as it can. Apologies to those US citizens who are not Tea party retards.... |

By the way, i'm sure the truck driver will be treated in an hospital at almost no cost for him, his wage will be continuing to be paid...
HOWEVER, unfortunately, we do not have the freedom to choose for a medical plan from some private corporation, which might vanish at any moment.....

@ollie&crakr: yeah well 100 % of the people in this video have jobs and don't live in a 10 ft. trailer, in some whiskey tango cemetery of dreams where the ground water is filled with poisonous led from the endless landscape of abandoned factory- buildings surrounding this narrowed gene pool that calls it self a "community" - that could best be describes as a mockery to mankind :-p
