Penguinato23: Why have artists created for thousands of years? Most people go to a museum, look at a painting/sculpture/whatever and go "Oh, that's cool." and go about their business. And none of it means anything. It's just stuff put together in a pretty manner. This is the same thing, just in a different medium... and one that you could interact with if you wanted to.
The canyon landscape comes from the way the worlds are created. Different seeds give you different landscapes, and there are also mods that allow you to choose them in more detail, as well as world editors that let you change the ones you have. |

Ok, and so they went through all that work for what? So that people can go 'oh, that's cool' and go about their business? Why would someone put that much work into something like that knowing that it won't mean anything afterwards?
I guess if they somehow really, truly enjoyed doing it then it wouldn't be all too different than playing any game that requires some amount of time investment, but personally my brain would start to drip out my ears by the 5th or 6th hour I spent doing something so mindless.
I would kind of like to know where they got that awesome canyon-type landscape from though... |

What, would you rather we have a world filled with stupid people, spelling every word wrong and ruining the English language?
Clearly Cajun was unaware of his mistake, but if you don't correct people, whether they be aware of it or not, some people will never learn.
It makes me wonder though. When people like you mention "grammar police" or "spelling police", do you just want people to sit by and let the youth of today turn into absolute morons?
I'd hope, if I made any mistakes myself, someone would correct me so I'm aware of it.
And Cajun, again, I realize you weren't aware of your mistake. I'm talking about morons who spell **** wrong, and actually believe they're right. |
