Friday, March 30, 2012 3:48:11 PM Guy saw a black man in a hoodie and was frightened he'd pull out his tec-9 and steal his wallet... /sarcasm On a serious note, damn I am ashamed of my country when we fail to hear a message because of pompous rules about hates (and I am also ashamed of the constant bible posturing - but at least this guy was trying to make a positive point about how to treat people instead of using it as a platform to not teach science, so I'll tolerate it). |

Friday, March 30, 2012 8:46:56 AM "Given that choice, can anyone explain to me why the facts of the case even matter?" @OldOllie comments like that scare the poo out of me. That ANYONE would even consider not giving someone a fair trial for FEAR of what would happen. That is truly scarey. And then you will defend those that riot, loot, and cause fires. |

Thursday, March 29, 2012 10:01:35 PM He deserved to be kicked out just on principle. Congressmen shouldn't be getting involved with judicial affairs. It's not their place. They don't even do their own job as it is. |

Until he is convicted of a crime, he must be considered INNOCENT.
Good one!

Thursday, March 29, 2012 8:35:47 PM Until he is convicted of a crime, he must be considered INNOCENT. welcome to america, where, while this is often stated, the inverse is actually true. go plead to a court your defense (not a trial by jury, a trial in front of a judge) and you have the choice: not guilty or no contest (see 5th amendment), either way the judge will consider you guilty. |

Thursday, March 29, 2012 8:04:47 PM If he's found not guilty, there will be riots, looting, vandalism, arson, mayhem, and death. If he's found guilty, there will be one less Democrat voter. Given that choice, can anyone explain to me why the facts of the case even matter? |

Thursday, March 29, 2012 7:19:30 PM @viperjason Unless there is a lot of evidence that we don't know about, the prosecutor probably won't even try for murder. There's less evidence to support murder in this case then there was in the anthony case, and casey didn't get a single thing, although I think she should have, just not murder. |

Thursday, March 29, 2012 6:44:03 PM Is there anyone who thinks there's any possibility of a fair trial now? You'd need to find a dozen people who've been trapped in a cave for weeks, at the very least. Preferably, you'd need a dozen aliens who've never even been to Earth and have no idea what racism is. |

Thursday, March 29, 2012 4:30:39 PM And even if convicted, it could still not be considered murder. Homicide yes, murder not necessarily. |

Thursday, March 29, 2012 4:28:18 PM @swoop408 ivran is correct. This is still a shooting or a killing. Until convicted this is not a murder. Now when and IF this ever goes to trial then it will be a murder trial, but until then...this is a shooting or killing.

Thursday, March 29, 2012 3:10:07 PM It's hard for me to care about this story after it has been sensationalized. The only thing I can conclude from these stories is that people suck no matter what color their skin is. |

Thursday, March 29, 2012 1:32:29 PM @Viper -- there's enough evidence and witness testimony to come to your own conclusion. He wasn't killed by falling off a bridge or running into traffic; an adult approached him and shot him while he was on his way home. So yes, it was murder. |

Thursday, March 29, 2012 12:52:26 PM There's a good idea: make congress into a circus! Oh wait, too late, happened years ago... Still, it's his right to 'protest' if he chooses. |
