Friday, March 30, 2012 7:24:52 AM A friend of mine has an old Jeep that he water sealed and put a snorkel on. Best part is he's got a self-extending snorkel capable of up to 15' depth. We did find out, though, that you absolutely NEED to keep the RPMs up around 1.5k or higher, else the exhaust doesn't have enough force to keep the water from swamping you from the backside. |

Friday, March 30, 2012 7:18:06 AM I stand corrected. I though the exhaust needed a snorkel. I guess it's a real drag if you stall the engine eh? |

Thursday, March 29, 2012 11:15:38 PM Is Australia always flooded? I swear every video I see from there is cars going through water or a flash flood in a city. |

Thursday, March 29, 2012 5:38:55 PM It wasn't till water seeped into the truck the fool gained traction. The truck was too light and sealed for fording that deep of a crossing. Tho it wouldn't have been as entertaining as the vid. |

Thursday, March 29, 2012 12:54:46 PM @turbotong - that's what the snorkel is for, engine is sealed water tight and snorkel take in the air, I drove a humvee with that kit through a pond like that when I was in the Marine Corps, it's actually pretty fun to do. |

Thursday, March 29, 2012 12:20:57 PM How the hell is that possible... Isn't the air intake from the front of the car? It was completely submerged and shouldn't have been able to provide oxygen for combustion... |

Thursday, March 29, 2012 11:26:59 AM @ dromEd, the snorlke is for the air intake, very important with a diesel engine. |

Thursday, March 29, 2012 11:02:09 AM It's not the exhaust. The exhaust is coming out the snorkel on the right side towards the front. |

Thursday, March 29, 2012 10:39:41 AM The splashing out the back is the exhaust (of course). |

Thursday, March 29, 2012 9:19:30 AM Looks like it has some sort of propellor attached to the flywheel or propshaft. |
