Sunday, March 25, 2012 12:29:26 PM Definitely an appropriate selection for this medium. I wonder what the process is. Where does he get the exact arrangement? Sheet music? Does he just figure it out by ear? Then what - is it midi synthesis into a translator for floppy drive read/write parameters? Or does he just program the notes one by one into whatever matrix is responsible for commanding the drives? How did he find out which read/write sounds equate to which notes in the first place? Is there a database somewhere on some nerd forum? |

When you've heard one of these, you've heard them all.

Saturday, March 24, 2012 12:24:07 PM Link: Computer Geek Remix Of Haddaway's 'What is Love' [Rate Link] - Played by 8 floppy drives. Sounds surprisingly well--has a great beat, fun to dance to. |
