Sunday, March 25, 2012 6:39:50 AM still waiting on everything else though Like the map that keeps track of the car's destination? :) These films are fun to watch. How they thought we'd be living in the 21st century from a mid 20th century point of view...after the economic boom of WWII. "We can only go up from here!" Problem is, the two biggest things that drive the economy are porn and sports. If the invention isn't useful to either industry, it will likely fail. Look at HDTV and 3D TV for example. Much better to watch porn and sports. |

Saturday, March 24, 2012 9:21:33 PM This is basically just propaganda for highway building. We can barely afford to merely REPAIR the highways they built when this film was made, nevermind replace them with super magic roads. |

Saturday, March 24, 2012 3:12:42 PM The funny thing is that the father is in the front seat, making all the "choices", while the wife is doing all the lame stuff and hanging out with the kids. Guess they didn't get that one right. Also the idea of a combined ambulance/police unit is incredibly stupid - even for the 50's: police wasting time on a scene of a heart attack? How efficient would that be :-p |

Saturday, March 24, 2012 4:23:06 AM Well we'll all be driving sun powered electro suspension cars when we crack the power of the ether. Plus i loved the highway bridge being constructed out of thin air. Love it.x |

Saturday, March 24, 2012 12:52:51 AM I admire those who have the tenacity to dream and think big in a society that seems to ration idea makers. Not all dreams need to be made into reality to be relevant to the creative process.

Saturday, March 24, 2012 12:48:20 AM "air conditioned highways" i like the way they thought in 1958. but seriously if the economy stuck the way it was back then all the way to today this may have been possible. |
