Looks like this kid has a better head on his shoulders than David Hahn, the so-called "Nuclear Boy Scout". In 1994, Hahn was building his own nuclear reactor at age 17, but after it started throwing out too much radiation he tried to dismantle it and ended up getting caught. The shed where he'd done his experiments was so radioactive that it was eventually declared a Superfund site.
This all got him much press, including a TV documentary.
Skip forward to 2007, and Hahn got arrested for stealing smoke detectors, one of the sources of radioactive materials he'd used before. This time he apparently had radiation burns and had to be treated for radiation exposure. He got 90 days in jail after treatment was completed. |

I'm guessing his family had the money to supply him through all of this? I mean, building a nuclear fucking reactor can't be cheap.
