ha! I have those too but when my tongue is wet they lie right against the tongue. But I could pull them out with my finger and yep, they are that long. Funny. Probably from constantly rubbing against one's teeth. |

I don't know about the rest of you but I have little bumps there. Much smaller than in the pic. I really don't care about it.
What bugs me is the flap of skin between the bottom of the tongue and the top of the lower jaw. That gets in the way sometimes. |

just in case anyone is seriously worried...they're salivary glands. usually they're not so pronounced they can get that way if you have a gland infection or blockage... or if you're just built that way in the first place. |

The plica fimbriata folds of the tongue occasionally grow a bit of a horn-like fringe; I have a few minor ones in back. They're not particularly common, nor are they anything special; your body just glitched out a little when it was starting up and added a little extra tongue-skin there. |

They're just the leftover from whatever model kit frame the tongue was taken from. The one who assembled that person must either have forgotten to remove them or been down right lazy. They can easily be removed with a hobby knife or a with a common file. |
