Sunday, March 25, 2012 1:38:41 AM As far as I can work out consciousness is a by product, and I know there have been some odd ideas ( bi-cammeral mind?) about how it works. I love the idea that someone is taking the stance that they need to see if there is a phenomena or not, then trying to work it out but this seems a little flakey. Not that there might not be something in it, just not quite sure he has found the answer.

Saturday, March 24, 2012 6:31:02 PM I thought it was really interesting, and no, I'm not in a coma, nor did I fall asleep during it. Unfortunately, Professor Chris French couldn't duplicate his results. This is his skeptic friend he mentions a few times during the lecture. Also, the only experiment results I could find on his web site were from 2003 to 2005 and not even for the telephone test. None of this seems to pan out, though it would be cool if it did. I know dogs know when people are coming home. |

Saturday, March 24, 2012 4:06:58 PM I skipped to the end and it was just as riveting as the beginning. Snorefest. |

Saturday, March 24, 2012 12:11:48 PM @madduck Not defending his ideas or anything, but he's published papers and things and discusses his experimental methods a lot later in the video. http://www.sheldrake.org/homepage.html is his website if you'd like to look around. |

Saturday, March 24, 2012 12:03:29 PM The idea is simple but goes against everything you have been told about your mind: The brain does not create the consciousness, it receives it like a radio. |

Saturday, March 24, 2012 11:44:50 AM Quackor- educated cambridge ( and oxford) educated whatevers are frequently idiots. It certainly sounds odd, I would like to see his evidence- and at least he assumes he is looking for a natural phenomenon. |
