Why do lesbians insist on conforming to the stereotypical "dyke?" Is it so they can easily be identified by other lesbians, or is there some innate propensity to wear horn-rimmed glasses, short (or mannish) hair, just a dab of makeup and to be as left of center as Karl Marx?
I think it's mostly a case of people noticing those lesbians who do so and not those who don't.
If you see an average-looking woman walking down the street doing nothing unusual and dressed in an unremarkable way, you're unlikely to assume she's a lesbian. That doesn't mean she isn't.
I think there's also a bit of a "wear the right uniform" thing going on, too. If "lesbian" is a big part of how someone identifies themself, they might chose to make that identity obvious to other people as well. |

I don't mind the occasional amusing video, so long as it's a one off. But once it becomes more of the same, you're ten videos in and nothing has changed, it's boring and pretty annoying.
First video wasn't brilliant, but it was kind of funny. The second was already pushing it. |

Well, personally, I have relatively short hair just because it looks good on me and is easier to take care of. I don't actually know a whole lot of lesbians who could be classified as "dykes". Differing levels of tomboy, sure, but not really the stereotypical "bull dyke" image. |
