That's a Japanese Maple, or acer palmatum, in Portland, Oregon. LOOKS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING LIKE A SYCAMORE. DUH. |

I agree that this is not shopped. This is a type of Japanese Maple called a Inaba-shidare, I have a very small one in my front yard. The color of the leaves is an intense deep red, it is a very beautiful tree. |

bex753: Agreed. The saturation has indeed been bumped a bit. Not so much that the average joe would notice, but you must tweak your own photos, as do I.

JUST FOR THIS POST, I changed my profile pic to a picture I took last July at the Portland Japanese Gardens.
As you can see, this is a small tree (look at the size of the leaves compared to the trunk). It's only about five or six feet high at the most.
Also, I didn't do it justice with my camera, but it had this AMAZING color to it that was breathtaking in July. It was almost red. I totally think that this was the same tree in the Fall, and no, it's not 'Shopped. |

If it's the one I'm thinking of it's not that big, it's just a good angle. It may be edited but that doesn't make it any less of a cool photo. On another note, I love the Japanese Garden :) it's so gorgeous. |
