Thursday, March 15, 2012 10:16:31 AM Old joke. Cute, but an old joke. Christian's, get over it, get a sense of humor. There was nothing insulting here, just an old joke. |

Thursday, March 15, 2012 7:37:18 AM The dad got on the radio to explain his side, which the newspaper utterly failed to do. Undoubtedly the newspaper left out his side. Although I doubt it was because of an anti-christian bias, rather, newspapers are in the business of selling newspapers, so to compete in a world where people have an ever-decreasing attention span, the papers resort to inflammatory language, especially in their titles, because most people only graze the headlines and don't read the whole article. Sell them papers! |

Wednesday, March 14, 2012 2:03:06 PM That's quite true @madduck! There's a big difference between ASKING for something to be removed and RIOTING/murdering over it, eh? Example: A Dad had his daughter complain that a school-book was laced with profanity (Catcher in the Rye iirc) and taking God's name in vain. So he asked her teacher if there might be an alternative book she could read that wasn't so foul. The news headline? Dad Demands Book Be Banned! Says it's Anti-Christian! "Someone" (the teacher obviously) had leaked the story to the news. The dad got on the radio to explain his side, which the newspaper utterly failed to do. True story! |

Wednesday, March 14, 2012 1:23:07 PM If there was a god, and if it cared one iota about what humans did I think it might have a sense of humour- how arrogant for believers to assume they know what a god thinks!

Wednesday, March 14, 2012 12:02:29 PM The "oh Jesus" at the end turned this from humor to bad taste, imo (using Jesus' name in a curse-type way). Also, from an ad agency perspective, using religion (of any persuasion) to advertise whatever product you are shilling is usually a lose/lose proposition. |
