Just got back from her scan. She showed much more improvement than anyone expected and we now think that she will not need the orthotic after all, just continued Occupational Therapy, which IS covered. Thank you all for your warm wishes and thanks especially to OsirisAscend, you're still my favorite IABer. |

They wrote me on Tuesday promising to send me your email that afternoon, but I haven't heard back. I've written them several times since, but have received no response. She goes in for her scan again tomorrow and then they'll be expecting us to make a decision. I have been in touch with them and they say that ALL treatment, scans and refitting and all, will come to exactly $2,050 (they must have rounded down to us before, but hell, $50 I DO have).

Not sure if genuine and thus a wonderful human being - the type that would really do something like that for someone that clearly rubs them the wrong way, or if embarking on the most evil troll ever trolled, lol.
If you are serious, I'm not too proud to get my baby the help she needs, but decoration is unnecessary; they're pink - that's fine. I have the latest set of measurements and go into get a new set in two weeks. The company that makes the helmets is called StarbandStarband Kids... I could have them fax a chart I suppose. If you are serious, then I'd be eternally in your debt. My baby's health is worth so much more to me than... well, ALL THE MONEY, which really sucks, b/c I don't have it to give. |

Your tone aggravated me the other day.
Regardless of my personal opinion, the innocent should never suffer. (You should be getting ANYTHING your child needs for their health at an affordable price. Period.)
If you're NOT trolling, your child really needs a $2000 helmet, and your church will not help you, I will purchase it for you.
That's right.
I'll pay for the whole thing, as long as you provide me with some sort of verification that your claim is valid, whatever measurements are necessary to acquire the proper fit and level of safety, and a list of companies that manufacture what you need.
I don't want any advertising on it either. Instead, I'll throw in a few extra bucks, and you can find someone to airbrush some sort of cool design on it. |

I would have donated, given evidence that she was legit, but now I can think of people far more deserving of charity. People without such a feeling of self-entitlement.
Tril, you call yourself politically conservative and a Christian by religion, yet you demand handouts and show nothing but resentment, anger and fall far short of so-called Christian spirit. Get a job, make some personal sacrifices and treat others with more charity and you may see some of the same in return. |

Trillian... I actually know the celebrity in question. (Seriously!!!) He's a nice guy. He has people approach him with requests for assistance regularly.
Your way of going about it makes you look like an ass. I seriously doubt he'll respond to what amounts to blackmail.
YOU'RE going to ruin his reputation?
If he could survive "Jersey Girl", you're not even on his radar.
And since you told me and so many others here what you think of us, I withdraw my offer of assistance, and suspect that since "All you motherdraters are gonna pay" (couldn't come up with your own original rant?), several others will follow suit.
You really need to learn some manners. This is NOT how you ask strangers for help. |
