@ auburn: I know, I'm just sick of the people who make generalisations and put us all in the same category as people who can't manage their sexual health sensibly. Condoms don't cost that much and everyone who isn't in a committed relationship should be using them to prevent the spread of STD's or STI's and both parties should have them on hand. I personally am disgusted by a certain number of young women who use the morning after pill as a form of birth control. They don't seem to understand about some of the side effects, one of which potentially life threatening. You could say I've been having a bad week, I prolly wouldn't have had my rant had other things not been going on at the time. Cya later peeps |

I thought this had been put to rest. Not all of us use the contraceptive pill because we are having sex!!!!! Some of us have debilitating, painful and personal medical conditions that require the use of the pill to keep these in check. Unfortunately for me. I still lost an ovary and have impaired fertility and I was lucky enough to have treatment. Be careful when making the generalisation that taking the pill = having sex. At least 40% of the patients I dispense it to are using it for other reasons, myself included. For people who still think that I'm making this up, google Poly Cystitic Ovarian Syndrome, Endometriosis and Fibroids. There are other syndromes, but you'll get the picture pretty fast. *ends rant* |

How does that make him a troll? Hedkwab is essentially correct. If you have to spend all your money on contraceptives because all you do is have sex, I'm sure you'd fit the term sluwhore just fine. |

Actually, an even better question; how are there enough people out there who hear his crap and think "oh, ok, that's a perfectly reasonable and logical thing to say" to make the guy rich. If people want insane drivel I'm sure there are a number of hobos in back alleys who would be more than happy to give said people their ideas on the world. They'd probably be less disconnected from reality.
On the other hand, they'd likely be less pointedly judgmental too, so idk... |

He was calling one woman that word, not all women, as Rush was by insinuating that all women on birth control are sluts. Also, Maher said on his show that if he offended women other than Palin, he apologizes. |

@auburnjunky - Actually it is. Bill Maher is a COMEDIAN and an openly liberal one at that. People afford him crazy views because he isn't going to have a massive impact on the world. Similar to Fred Phelps (who I have a severe distaste for). Rush Limbaugh however has signed himself up to be the President of the USA, a position that affects every person on the planet. As a result Mr Limbaugh's words are, and should be, subject to FAR greater scrutiny. |
