You can only religiously discriminate (or any other type) if you have a specific purpose, and are a non-profit organization. Yep, you are legally allowed to discriminate, but this company can't because they are not non-profit. |

I think that this may be real. When our town had one, it was closed every Sunday. They would put a sign in their window saying it was "traditional" for them to do so. |

wouldn't get away with that across here, It's religious discrimination not to hire someone because there are a different faith. Also sexual preference discrimination. I'm not a religious man but if they said they won't hire me because of that I would kick up a legal storm they wouldn't win.

When I was a teenager I dated a young guy who was the manager for a local Chick- Fil- A store. While he never discussed with me Chick- Fil- A' s hiring qualifications, I did get the impression that Chick-Fil-A liked to hire people that shared the values of the company's philosophy.
To the public and especially at work, this guy like to play the good little Christian, but behind closed doors he was a religious hypocrite. To say the least, he was a player with a serious drug habit. When I called him on his behavior he simply smiled, shrugged and said, "sometimes I backslide". |

I wish this WAS real. Good for them. It's their drating company and they have a right to hire whomever they wish. This liberal PC bullpoo in this country is getting ridiculous.

Yeah. Try asking questions about sexual proclivity. Then try not to get sued back into the great depression.
Employers are not allowed to base hiring practices on religion, creed, race, sexual orientation or anything like this implies.

Yes, Chick-Fil-A is known for being Christian, which is of course something unique from most other fast food places....thus they are traditionally closed every Sunday (which really sucks when I crave something from there on that day only, inevitably happens now and then). And their food is really awesome....so I don't care what religion they are. |

Not many religious offer so much hypocritical flip flopping as does the jesus based religions. Hell these people dont even know which translation to follow. Most of them have never fully read the bible, and the few that have make it a point to "forget" about the horrendous Murders that god and his followers commit. |

they are also close on sunday. i dont see the problem. they are a super heavy christian company, but they do allow other people of different religions (at least the ones i have been) to work there. |
