CJ, I'm just going to leave it here, because it seems the two of us are arguing about two different things. I would like to point out that Question 10 does support what IrishJesus said, which you were arguing against.

Lillian: Look below that to the 'crosstabs' of question 10, it was mostly all liberals that said they distrusted Fox news. Also by your same logic Fox is the most trusted news source as well.

That is why the individual questions before #10 are more relevant.

CrakrJak, Okay, look at question 10 then. Fox news is trusted the least. Even if others have a slightly higher percentage of distrust, fox news still way beats them for which is distrusted the most. So people may distrust other news sources, but they distrust fox more, thus fox gets a higher percentage.

Lillian: Download their polls PDF file Here

Right at the top of the second page, you'll see the questions asked and same percentage points I pointed out below.

"Wrong lillian, you're reading the poll percentages wrong. I posted them below. "

I don't believe those are percentages though. Perhaps ratios of trust to distrust, but not percentages of people who distrust fox.

IrishJesus: HuffPo is most definitely a blog, named for Arianna Huffington.

Huffington also has an Internet presence with her website The Huffington Post, which features blogs and commentary from her and from a number of prominent liberal journalists, public officials, and celebrities. - Wikipedia's post on Huffington.

I'm sorry if you're having a tough time with it, PPP is a democrat based polling source and they like to twist things around., but the numbers below are accurate and straight from their own poll.

CJ- It had the highest percentage of people saying they distrust it though, compared to all the other stations.

Yeah? I bet 3/4 of them were knee-jerk liberals who have never even watched it.

The average Fox News viewer is a male between the ages of 30 to 49 and the average viewer income is $62,203 per year. - Found in multiple cable tv advertising demographics.

How stupid do you have to be to be unable to tell the difference between a cable network and a local broadcast affiliate?

LIBERAL stupid, that's how stupid. (...and believe, me, that's pretty f***in' stupid.)

"Most older people I know, over 65 don't pay for cable or satellite tv"
The ones that live on their own still? My nanny had it at her home, and when she was in a nursing home due to her illness, every single tv in there was turned on fox news. So idk about the old people you know, but it is very common for old people to watch fox in my experience.

"If you're trying that 'Fox news viewers are dumb' crap, You might want to know that those supposedly 'dumb' people also have higher net incomes and are less likely to be on assistance from the government."
I wasn't saying that at all, but just fyi (if what you say is even true) having a higher income or being less likely to be on assistance doesn't make you smarter. It does kind of show that fox (like the conservatives that support it) pretty much only cares benefiting rich people, thus rich people watch and support them.

Lillian: What you just quoted was that 34% of all the people that they polled, ranked Fox least trusted, That means that 66% did NOT rank them least trusted.

The graph below are indeed percentages.

I'm not saying you're lying CrakrJak, but can I see a source for that last allegation?

Lillian: Most older people I know, over 65 don't pay for cable or satellite tv, they are satisfied with local broadcasts and feel cable & satellite tv is a waste of money.

If you're trying that 'Fox news viewers are dumb' crap, You might want to know that those supposedly 'dumb' people also have higher net incomes and are less likely to be on assistance from the government.

CJ, from the link you provided-
Fox is also the least trusted TV news source for 34% of voters, followed by Comedy Central at 16%, MSNBC at 15%, CNN at 11%, ABC News at 7%, CBS News at 5%, PBS at 2%, and NBC News at 1%.

I'm not sure what the things like "(45/42)" are supposed to represent, but they don't seem to be percentages.

"PPP's 3rd annual TV news trust poll (2011 version here, 2010 version here) finds that Fox News tops the list for both the source Americans trust the most and the one they trust the least."

First sentence on that article...

Also, the Huffington Post is not a blog.

If you would read what I typed, you would see I mentioned they are the MOST (and only) trusted amongst conservatives, while the preference for other networks is spread out amongst liberal and third parties. There's a reason for the numbers, so I will ask you AGAIN to read those reasons.

Lowest trust:

#1 Comedy Central: Trust 28%, Distrust 46%
#2 MSNBC: Trust 38%, Distrust 43%
#3 ABC: Trust 37%, Distrust 40%
#4 CBS: Trust 40%, Distrust 42%
#5 Fox: Trust 45%, Distrust 42%

Again, actually LQQK at the poll.

"That's your opinion, not fact. "
Duh?

"Fox has the top ratings of all news shows on a regular basis, It's hard to argue against success. "
Well, if you consider the reasons why, it's not surprising. They're the only "news" network that is geared toward conservative ideals, warmongering, pro life, etc. So all the conservatives flock to it. Liberal and moderate stations are more spread out. And conservatives are generally older (Fox news average age is pretty old last I heard) whereas liberals are generally younger, so you get tech savvy kids getting their news from the internet instead of watching cable news all the time. Plus many other reasons.

I'll give it to you that the affiliate stations do automatically get an unfair beating, but I'm getting pretty consistent results when researching news network studies.

IrishJesus: Showing a montage is one thing, but IAB regularly discriminates against Fox for extra ridicule, even when it's not actually FNC, but an affiliate local station, as in this case.
