A similar situation happened in 2010 to a breastfeeding mom from Arizona named Stacey Armato. In Stacey's case, not only did she know the TSA rules about transporting her breastmilk, but she also brought a printed copy of them with her to show the TSA agents - and they STILL treated her like a security risk and a second class citizen. TSA later apologized to Stacey, but in an interview she gave, she explains that it was pretty much evident that any staff retraining which may have taken place didn't "stick." |

Smutleybutt & drworm2002: I did some quick research, and you're right, she was on business in Hawaii (and just going between islands, she lives there). BUT- I still view flying as a very special privilege (even if it's required for your job) that comes with some sacrifices in order to maintain (or try to maintain) safety. Sure- the system isn't that great, but it's better than nothing.
Bottom line: I just don't feel THAT bad for her. Sh*t happens at airports, man. Get out yo pump and deal wit it. |

That's just an overzealous or inept TSA agent. If he/she had known proper SOPs this wouldn't have happened. Fire the agent. |

@AJ: I think you get this, but I believe what Lillian's saying is that Al Qaeda isn't a *synonym* for "terrorists," it's a *subset*. Meaning that while all members of Al Qaeda are terrorists (either by actual practice or support of terrorist practices), not all terrorists are members of Al Qaeda.

You know what's worse than her getting humiliated? A terrorist posing as a mother (or actually being one?) and because no one wants the humiliate her, she slips a bomb/gun through and kills thousands of people. People need to quit whining about security checks, it only takes one terrorist to slip through to kill many people, and yes, terrorists use pregnant women and children because they aren't nearly as suspicious. At the airport here, they only make nonwhite males go through the full body scanner. (It's in Alabama, so it's not that craazy.) |

It's obvious that she isn't pretty bright.
She pours the milk away because she "figures that it's not allowed"? What about checking the rules beforehand?
And yes, I better have those people checked that seem to pose "no threat at all" but have enough opportunities to hide threatening objects. |

You can find an exception to any rule, but generally speaking, there is a reason for racial profiling. That includes profiling terrorists.

There is no such thing as Al Qaeda. It is simply the brain child of the "CIA-eda" to produce fake terrorism. TSA agents are federal goons who can't get jobs elsewhere because they are pedophiles and sex offenders. Who else would stick their hands down children's pants or grope old women? |
