ok, shaggy- this is for you. if you don't agree, please feel free to tell me. i'd like to hear your opinion on this.

i live in west virginia. no. i'm no hillbilly, and i don't hunt. but i see plenty of good in hunting. it's true that hunting provides food to families and profit to the state, but the big importance of it is it thins out deer. without hunting, an obvious increase in roadkill can be seen, and thousands of deer starve to death. anyways...that's my little pro-hunting post.

this sabotage didn't bother me as much as they usually do. i think that if the first shot wasn't a miss and if the gun wasn't as loud it would have scared the crap out of me, though.

These sabotages are getting really tired. I seem to have built some kind of immunity to them through over exposure.

I used to disagree with hunting, like all you idiots on here, but then I met REAL hunters, not the ones on TV. They use the meat for food, a long tradition in their families. So after eating what God has rightfully given to them, should they just throw the head out? Of course not. By placing the head on the wall they are giving it a place of admiration and reminder of their debt to nature and how it has repayed them.
You people obviously dont do your research either, because who do you think pays for conservation efforts? The government? No, a high majority of conservation money is donated by hunters trying to preotect the ebvironment. Its also not like you can run into any field with a gun and shoot down animals. They spend alot of money on equipment, plus they need to buy tags. Otherwise its illegal to hunt. You shouldnt go getting angry at people when you obviously have no idea whats going on.

Oh, and don't worry ShggyR, if I hunt a deer, I'll make sure I'll write a letter notifying it's family with my deepest regrets and a cabbage to cool them down so they won't come after me. Get a fudgein' life, do you prefer that an animal is shot down painlessly, or do you prefer them to live all their lifes in tiny spaces being fed chemicals and waiting to be slaughtered?

ShaggyR: We, the human are on top of the food chain, not by strength (there are thousands animals stronger then us) but by intelligence, thats why we created weapons, to bring down the strength factor.

One thing shaggy is that if noone kills deer than they will overpopulate, and the food source will go down causing them to die anyways.

That really wasn't scary. Maybe it was because it was so obvious it was a sabotage.

First reply goes to the person named WTF above: I once saw one of those Discovery channel shows where a mother cheetah leaves her babies behind while she goes to get food. When she returns she panics becasue she can't find them...and when she does she finds that lions have killed them. I swear to you that mother started screaming...I'm not talking about crying here...I'm talking about screaming. The show cut to other animals for a while and then would come back to the cheetah every now and then...and it was still screaming and crying by the end of the show. Don't underestimate the feelings of these animals.

And now my reply to "rabbithare" - I don't buy your explanation. Ive seen the photos that these guys take with the animals hanging upside down...that has nothing to do with providing food. And why the heads on your wall? Also has nothing to do with food. These guys show off because they have killed something while they were hiding behind a tree. Pathetic.

Ok, is this real? I refuse to try it just in case... But if it is, someone needs to call PETA. I am morally opposed to hunting on so many levels, yet that is not the issue here. One should not kill something if one cannot even look it in the eyes.... Someone, please steady my bursting adrenaline glands and tell me this is fake!!!

Shaggy-- I have never and most likly will never hunt but.... shooting and killing a deer and most other animals has alot more to do with providing food for their families. I have animal heads in my house along with animal skins. My guy hunts and we have meat to last us the reast of the year. Instead of throwing out the skin we use it. We feel like if you don't use all of the animal than you shouldn't be hunting.

Now I am not trying to bash on anyone or on anything that people belive in... I am simply trying to let you know why most... not all... but most hunters hunt.

Sorry Shaggy but, a deers, or any animal like that, mind is as complex as ours. I for one dont really think animals can feel mass amounts of love. I do agree that there can be some, like a cat trying to protect her kittens , but I doubt Momma deer will be woundering why papa deer didnt come home. Her first instict will probably be that he was killed. Thats what animals rely on. Instinct, not feelings. His family wont be in agonizing pain.

Hey Eastsiderepp, I'm glad you mentioned that. Rather than getting into some kind of ridiculous argument with a hunter, let me do it this way:

If you are a hunter, I challenge you to explain what you get out of shooting an animal as it takes a drink of water. How in any way shape or form does that make you feel good about yourself? You sneak around, taking every precaution to make sure that this deer doesn't even know you're there, then wait until it is at it's most vulnerable and end it's life. Why? Do you not realize that the animal has a family just like you do? That his family will wonder why he doesn't come home? I hear you laughing. It's funny to think that an animal could have family or feelings right? Well, they do.

Please explain to me why you do this...why you take pictures of the dead animal strung up on a rack...why you feel as though you've accomplished something by shooting an animal that didn't even know you were there.

I'm kind of sad I saw this before reading any comments, without knowing who made it, with my speakers on high, and wasn't suprised in the slightest.

Just blinked once, went, "I hate these." and closed the window.

'course, it didn't seem real since Flash couldn't interact with an external device, far as I know.
