Wednesday, February 29, 2012 9:30:15 PM VileFiend, Free range cattle dont eat grain, they eat grass. You dont need to clear land to raise cattle on already naturally established grasslands, and have minimal impact during grazing. Growing any crop needs considerable turning of the earth and a complete destruction of existing habitat, killing any native plants or animals. Every harvest kills millions of small rodents and reptiles. So while you complain about the innocent slaughtering of cows for meat, have a thought for all the small rodents and reptiles that were indirectly killed to bring you that salad! People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, you ignorant self righteous turd! |

Wednesday, February 29, 2012 3:17:12 PM @vilefiend - Nope your wrong. He did follow a vegetarian diet. There are multiple sources citing this but here is one for your convenience. Bullock, Alan (1999) [1952]. Hitler: A Study in Tyranny. New York: Now I think Hitler was an extremely vile and evil person but he was an animal rights activist. This is probably why he was a vegetarian in the first place. Side note people think that was an atheist as well but this is also false. He was raised Roman Catholic. Thanks for playing |

Wednesday, February 29, 2012 7:44:42 AM Hitler was not a vegetarian, this was a lie perpetrated to make him seem more perfect. He was also not drug free, really, check your facts. I had to name call to get into the spirit of the posts. |

Wednesday, February 29, 2012 6:05:20 AM You are more wrong than you will ever know you ignorant fascist pig bastards. Nothing quite says respect my opinion like childish name calling. Also, what's with so many vegans going around calling anyone they don't like a fascist pig? Do you even know the meaning of that word and how could you know he is one? Certainly not by a limited forum interaction and a disagreement about one thing... Is it just a bonus to pretend to be a 60's hippie fighting injustice when you opress others with your high horse opinions? |

Wednesday, February 29, 2012 5:56:52 AM I am killing and eating what is destroying our ozone You realize cows wouldn't wxist on a scale to pruduce that much gas if it weren't for us breeding them to eat? I'm not against meat eating or farming it is a pretty moot point to say we are battling the issue we are creating to battle. (Quoting Mencia is likely to have the effect of being moot and/or stupid) |

Wednesday, February 29, 2012 3:15:51 AM The severe clean water supply challenges, present and in the near future, should be enough reason for anyone to start diminishing their meat intake. Crops for cattle accounts for nearly 8 percent of global human water use. (2010) "Grain-fed beef production takes 100,000 liters of water for every kilogram of food. Raising broiler chickens takes 3,500 liters of water to make a kilogram of meat. In comparison, soybean production uses 2,000 liters for kilogram of food produced; rice, 1,912; wheat, 900; and potatoes, 500 liters." - Source: Cornell University, 1997 |

Wednesday, February 29, 2012 3:15:27 AM {quote">The stuff she said is actually true, look it up. And yes, she is better than your stupid ignorant ass.[/quote"> Maybe you should be the one looking things up instead of believing whatever misguided ideas vegans tell other vegans to justify their superiority complexes. Vegetarian/Vegan Myths I have nothing against vegetarians or vegans, but I do have a problem with people going all Westboro Baptist Church and throwing their beliefs in everybody's face. |

Wednesday, February 29, 2012 12:47:50 AM ....... is it enough? of course not. i could do more i could do better, most of the time i don't _wan't_ to know about some war or disease etc. i'm dealing with my own life and sh|t thank you very much. But i still care, to me to stop caring would be the worst thing in the world. it would be like losing my humanity. To me being a vegan means i do the little that i can to make this world a little bit better. i'm just f**king thrilled to live in a time and place where i can. |

Wednesday, February 29, 2012 12:42:24 AM You know, they way i see it, i'm lucky, extremely lucky. i live in an age with (to an extent of course) freedom of religion, a time where slavery has been abolished in most places on earth, where a lot of women have equal rights, the gay folks are slowly getting (a)head. if i were religious i'd get on my knees and thank the lord that i was born in this day and age. But i also know there are things like sweatshops, that a ridiculious amount of children die of hunger and disease etc etc. And there is NOTHING i can do about it. all i can do is try and spend my money in a way that favors companies that don't use sweatshops, are the least damaging to the enviroment, vote the best way i can every so oft, try and be respectfull of other people's race/reg/sex/ etc etc. ...... |

Wednesday, February 29, 2012 12:41:57 AM veggies and other plant matter are LIVING organism. many of them have developed defense mechanisms to STOP things from eating them (onions may you cry for a reason) I am a meat eater. I eat healthy lean protein mixed with healthy crabs. this is how humans were meant to eat...this is how we evolved. there HAS NEVER BEEN a SINGLE human society that was entirely vegetarian...ever. btw,I am 6'3, 245lbs, 13% body fat at 35 years old...that means I am in exceptional shape for anyone of any age and according to my most recent blood test, I have the blood of someone about 20. btw world class make athletes typical have about 10% body fat is not less to put in perspective where I'm at. I am not bragging, or boosting. I am simply refuting her BS that eating meat is unhealthy. the food industry is what needs to be changed and the way people eat needs to change, but banning meat IS NOT the answer and never will be.
