The kid used a .22 caliber target pistol, and he only fired 10 shots. It's a type of gun that is legal in most of the world. And, he didn't get it legally, neither did the Columbine kids. And making guns illegal or banning them wouldn't help. People that want guns can still get them, either stolen, smuggled, or made in underground factories. When I was 14 I wanted a shotgun, but I couldn't buy one, so I just made one. It,s not exactly hard, people have been making them for 400 years. Completely banning guns completely would probably stop many school shootings, but banning guns completely would crate and violent black market just like with drugs and alcohol. Thousands more innocent people would die each year as a result of the organized criminals getting anyone they dislike out of the way. |

if you refuse to see the metaphor for what it is then I guess I can't convice you anyway.
The confirmation of it being random is bull poo. the second dead kid is the guy who was dating his ex girlfriend. The only random shooting was the fifth victim who got in the way as he was running down the hallway.
beleive what you want. in the end there are three dead kids, one in serious condition and one recovering at home. Oh yeah, and loser just waiting for that bedsheet and a high crossbar in his cell. |

Depends on who you hand them to. An AR-15 holds 30 rounds by the way this is why people who no nothing about firearms should STFU about making laws for them. Would you put a person who dropped out of high school in charge of the board of education? |

I'm SICK and TIRED of the mentally challenged Asssholes that keep repeating like parrots the say that" it's the people that kill not the guns".
Guns ARE part of the problem because they make killing so easy, between a 25 clip AR 15 and a pencil who's going to kill the most, Mcgovern? |

Read it. It easily cries out against whom he see as "vain" in "castle walls" obviously a dig at popular kids. "selfish and conceited they could care less about the peasants...etc etc)
However, it looks like it is confirmed that he struck at random. Perhaps in the end, he blamed everyone I guess.
This was still caused by bullying though. Things is, because he struck random kids the ones who tormented him got away I guess. Never understood why this happens. Kid gets bitch slapped around. He finally snaps but doesn't bother to get back at the people who caused him the harm in the first place. I just don;t get it. |

so I know school shootings are terrible and all but if you have a gun how do you only kill one person? and then how the f uck do you get chased away? if you want to shoot up a school shoot it up right otherwise sit back down and stop being a baby. |

Nubblins what me and McGovern both agree on is that it is inaccurate to label the tool as the root cause of the problem when it is abundantly clear that tools do not have free will regardless of purpose. |

@swiftkeys- I heard an interview on the news with a friend of his who witnessed him being repeatedly bullied. While the eyewitness testimony of one person is not proof positive of anything, it's a bit more than speculation. |

I'm not commenting at all on anyone's right to own a gun, I'm just saying the PURPOSE of a gun is to cause bodily harm. It was invented to HURT AND KILL. A pencil was invented to write on paper. Sure, you can stab someone with a pencil, but that was not it's intended use. When you shoot someone, you're successfully using a gun for its intended purpose. That is why they're not comparable, and I hate that stupid quip. |

To all of you who said "Why are all these kids pussies nowadays?" You don't really get it do you?
In the end, he wasn't. I don't like what he did. But he got the POWER that he didn't have (he doesn't look like a powerhouse to me) and used it to HIS advantage.
If he is a pussy for using overwhelming power against someone, what can you say about the bullies in the first place? They were more powerful than him for sure as bullies usually are. |

If he's been bullied most of his life, who the terrorist.
Truly I can't condone his choice of actions, but only because I think he would have been better off beating the piss out of them with a bat and break their bones. That way, they live and he gets his his life and confidence back. Sure he'll pay for it somehow. But I'll bet he'll never get bullied again and feel like he would have had some power in his life.
Bullies take a part of your spirit away. Hard to ever get it back and it comes too late for most. It's a SLOW death bullies put you through. |

You know in Washington D.C. they have the most strict gun laws, and still its the highest crime rate? People will always find a way to get guns, that is not the problem. The problem is never going to be fixed, never has never will. People get murdered. |
