oddly it's not really pro mormon, more like a propaganda speech to incite riot. i do wonder how many believe this is real. and it does go to show you how each religion has to re-write history to favor and answer all the questions. odd how everyone looked like hitlers ideal. |

Makes at least as much sense as all the other religions. If you are making up a story why not make it interesting?
I wish it said how close was the vote of jesus v.s. satan? Just think, I could have been a god if it went the other way. Oh, the fun I would have. First thing the god me would have done is create me a few dozen wives...but I digress. |

As an exmormon myself, I'll admit I don't remember much about the church, but some of this stuff just sounds stupid.

back before I was an atheist I was raised in the LDS church and even served a mission--- given that I had participated in all of the highest "secret" mormon temple ceremonies, I can attest to the fact that most of this is rubbish. |

@thelonious (and others) I did say that this video is in many aspect very twisted and do not reflect any official teachings, even the ones in the earlier days (1800's). Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mormons) has a way better description. From my personal research on this video, it was made by some people who were members of the church and turned against it afterwards. On a side note, I am Mormon (well, LDS) too, and I will not explain any "poo" about this video :) ..Or maybe one about the black people passage (who seems to be the most controversial); this "doctrine" was never approved, period, and everyone found teaching it was reprimanded. And the Mormon (LDS) church does have an extensive litterature and history records... (BTW, "our" Satan may not be as colorful as the chatholic one, but I can assure you that he's as cunning as their's :)) |

I had a girlfriend once which was a total christian, myself as an agnostic didnt really give a flying drat so I was fine with it...she eventually got sucked into a mormon church out in the boonies and holy jumpin poo was she drated up. I came home for work to find my dog in box in the closet...when confronted she said.. "well its not like it has a soul!". Her new bf/husband is unkind to her in ways shes willing to tolerate, even talking to non-mormons is a sin, and i not even gonna get into the racist/sexist/class system that they practice. freaky. |

deathcab: Most mormons aren't taught these things anymore, but they used to be taught and these secrets are kept away from the normal flock. The cartoon was produced in the 1960's, by mormons, as an illustrative way of explaining those secrets. Secrets that are not included in the book of mormon.
In this way, Scientology is secretive as well. novice scientologists don't believe any of the Xenu secrets exist either, it isn't until after a member has spent a lot of money and rose through many levels is that part of Hubbard's SciFi story revealed. |

I'm Mormon, and I approve of this video. :) Although, as usual with things like these, it messes up the story. The defected 1/3 from before we're not cursed to be black. And other small things but fiction can be so much more entertaining than the truth, so I won't bother correcting anymore. |
