actually if they cut the line as close as possible to the hook, its chances of surviving are pretty good. i catch fish all the time that are full of hooks and lures, and i have to imagine that thing is a little tougher than the 4-5 pound bass that i catch. |

I saw this a while ago. I think I would just cut the line as close to it as I could and set it free. Those hooks are made to dissolve eventually.
I usually don't keep anything that I don't intend to eat. |

looks like a Giant Pacific Octopus. Rarely see those even on dives where they are in large numbers because they hide really well. awesome catch! |
