Wednesday, February 15, 2012 2:16:53 PM @ledgehead - to check if Frampton found his old guitar? I guess this is goodbye then. |

Wednesday, February 15, 2012 12:54:49 PM That boy can play guitar. Ever listen to his album, "Fingertips?" His version of "Black Hole Sun" is an education. |

Wednesday, February 15, 2012 12:35:40 PM Cool link jendrian. The photos mentioned in the blog are in the link I posted too, and if any of you lucky people in NYC are at his next shows, you will see Frampton play that guitar again. |

Wednesday, February 15, 2012 12:05:45 PM for anyone lazy who doesn't want to see blackcatseye's linked video: the guitar was in stowaway in 1980 and the plane crashed after take-off (without passengers). The guitar was the only thing rescued and sold to a musician in Curaçao who used it for years without a reason to sell it. Then when the guitar needed to be restored, the musician took it to a curator who recognized it as Frampton's guitar and tried to buy it from the (unnamed) musician unsuccessfully for about 2 years. The person in the video (mega-moustachoed man) is the head of the tourism board in Curaçao, who pushed for the guitar to be sold and returned to Peter Frampton. Cool story! |

Wednesday, February 15, 2012 11:48:15 AM @jendrian & @pmarren - I said the same thing. 1) Where the hell has it been the last 31 yrs and how did the figure out it was Frampton's 2) Did he try to sell it first because I guarantee he could have made a sh*tload of money. |

Wednesday, February 15, 2012 11:32:53 AM pretty cool, I wonder if the "owner" (dude who found it) tried to sell it first or if he went straight to Peter Frampton |

Wednesday, February 15, 2012 11:30:49 AM That's great but I wish they'd have filled in a little of the background. Where was it for 31 years? Who found it, identified it, returned it? |
