Beating him was excessive. The man wasn't doing anything, this is a reason to be wary but not to actively kick someone. The only excuse for this sort of behavior is if someone is physically punching. If an officer is punched, beat the hell out of the guy. This guy could barely stand.
I watched that video of the guy with the hammer getting shot... and I thought "Yeah, guy needed to be shot. Good going." With this though, it is not the case. Police were in the wrong. |

I love how many people in this "thread" are completely ignorant to the symptons of low blood sugar.
As someone pointed out earlier, whn you have low blood sugar, you basically act as if you are drunk and have almost no control over what you are doing.
How do you expect the police to react? Stand there and yell " DO you have low blood sugar? We need to know before we do anything"

What was so wrong about that?
Maybe the kicking was a bit excessive but that's about all. I mean the officers did think he was drunk and if a drunk had any weapon on him or her it would be a very messy situation |

And the fact that is was recorded on the "cop cam" means that these idiots get 2 weeks off with pay. I would expect to sue these morons for everything they own, Not the city or police dept, the aholes that did this, and I want to kick that MoFo that kicked the guy near the end, right in the balls, 6 times |

Yup , typical, 6 rednecks with guns taking down 1 person. I really like the last ahole cop that just walks up and starts kickin the guy in the head. Just imagine if he comes home and mom says to her son/daughter . Look , that's daddy kicking the crap out of someone. What a prime example of allowing police to much power without responsibility. Notice the prick cop on the right takes off and so does the bitch riding with him. Then they have to laugh at finding a can of sugar fix in the car. All those non-nice individuals should be shot. NV cops are amoungst the worst idiots allowed to carry a gun. Their iq is about as big as their shoe size |

@jamie76, actually - this is what the "news" has become in this country. A rational person would see that there is only one side of the story being told here. When someone intentionally omits part of a story, it calls into suspect what they do tell. I'm not saying there aren't good cops and bad cops (the guy kicking seems to be a bad cop) but i'm just saying you have to be smart about what you do and don't believe from the media. The media doesn't *Report* news they sensationalize it. |

THIS is what police in this country have become.
those officers should be charged with
A. Brutality
B. Criminal Negligence (they are suppose to know how to assess and handle medical emergencies and due to their actions they injured a person that required first responder services...this is THE definition of the term)
C. Being giant douchebags (okay there isn't a law about that but if there was they would be in mx security. |

So yea, my boss at my old job was diabetic. When his blood sugar went low he would act like he was drunk and get very belligerent.
HE told us a story once about how he was driving home and felt his blood sugar drop so he pulled over to the side of the road and blacked out. NExt thing he remembered he was in the back of the cop car. Aparently a police office went to check on him and my boss punched the cop in the face. Fortunetelling the cop saw his medical bracelet and knew what to do.
So my take on this was, the driver did not pull over and was driving with low blood sugar. He probably didn't have a bracelet on (otherwise the news reporter would have mentioned it). So the cops see someone driving erratically, slurred speech and belligerent.
It's an unfortunate situation but i honestly think the cops weren't as guilty as they are made out to be. |
