This is called paragliding, it works similar as to hang gliding but less of a need for thermal drafts to keep afloat. |

that's totally awesome.. if you could do that all day you could get so good at it! It's kind of like how he's finding the updrafts, like you could in the hangliding game in pilotwings for SNES. man i'd love to try it out! |

They do this in San Diego at the Glider Port. Just walk off the cliff.

as mentioned, this is paragliding. Also, everyone knows it's possible to use a parachute without a plane, it's called base jumping.
