Monday, February 13, 2012 4:42:17 PM So Steve Jobs was a modern day Thomas Edison. Not creating new technology but simply improving already establish tech and then taking credit for it.

Sunday, February 12, 2012 9:10:57 PM @denmarkcm And then to counter that little stunt, Tesla ran an AC current through his body and lit up a bulb at the 1893 world exposition. I always keep this on my car. |

Sunday, February 12, 2012 9:43:32 AM One of the first films ever was... boxing kittehs!@! Edison was scum, but he was smart. This film was fair I think. He had a team of 'inventors' who worked 9-5 'inventing' things like the electric pen. |

Sunday, February 12, 2012 9:08:06 AM He also electrocuted an Elephant using AC power to try to scare people into only using DC. In the long run, people wanted to save money with AC.. |

Sunday, February 12, 2012 12:01:49 AM A lot of people here in the US think Ford invented the automobile. Hardly their fault. Kids aren't taught who made the first cars. They're taught how significant Ford was in developing the assembly line and little to nothing more than that. When one snippet is all you are taught of a larger history, what hope does a person have of knowing much of anything. |

Saturday, February 11, 2012 11:56:58 PM edison was like Jobs, he never did a damn thing that someone else didn't do first or better and like jobs he often bought, stole or sued his way to glory. |

Saturday, February 11, 2012 11:32:30 PM Interesting to see people who were labeled as "slow" when they were young do things like this later in life. |

Saturday, February 11, 2012 8:47:23 PM @I-IS-BORED: (1) Merriam-Webster Collegiate (11/e) has "lightbulb" as one word, so Kitteh has it correct. (I've worked as a professional copyeditor, so don't even start.) (2) If you're going to get all persnickety on grammar, you should be capping your proper nouns. (3) I didn't know Edison didn't invent the lightbulb (or if I did know, I'd forgotten it): concluding that my education system "has failed me" might be overstating it just a little, don't you think? |

Saturday, February 11, 2012 8:13:18 PM If you didn't know edison didn't invent the light bulb (two words, not one) then your education system has failed you. |
