Sunday, February 12, 2012 12:40:24 AM Here's another fact: around 90% of "facts" you heard on the Internet is made up. Which may or may not include this one. |

Saturday, February 11, 2012 4:46:17 AM "It would take 100 years to watch every video currently on YouTube." A statistic that Kitteh9Lives is well-acquainted with, I'm sure. You go, Kitteh. ~Squrlz sends some love out to his favorite mod~ |

Saturday, February 11, 2012 1:43:07 AM ANYWAY, the VAST majority of these are bullshit "facts" that have been circulating around the internet, spreading misinformation, for a while. The fact that stupid shit like this survives does confirm one fact, though: The human race is doomed to retardation at the rate we're going... |

Saturday, February 11, 2012 1:40:03 AM @RobSwindol If you're going to try to disprove something, at least know the actual facts, please. A) All the lions were male. Otherwise they wouldn't have had manes, eh? B) Jackie was actually the SECOND lion to be used, and the ONLY one named Jackie. And there have actually been seven in total. Two were pretty insignificant though, so it's okay if you forgot them. C) The lion we're currently on is named Leo. He started his run in 1957, and he wasn't trained by Koontz. The most likely reason you think they were all named "Jackie" is because the one before Leo, who's actual name was George, was often called "Jackie II." Source: I have family who are classic movie buffs, and I've watched enough MGM with them to know the differences between the lions. And a little Googling simply confirmed what I already figured. |

Friday, February 10, 2012 9:50:41 PM "Facts"? Most of those were speculation at best. And "definitely don't know"? I knew like half of those, and a handful were common knowledge. But still... it alleviated my boredom. |

Friday, February 10, 2012 6:21:41 PM i doubt the one about the MGM lion. being a movie buff and a collector of weird and useless trivia, i'm fairly certain i would have run across that little tidbit before now. |

Friday, February 10, 2012 3:54:15 PM There were some very questionable facts, and some completely false facts. For instance, the MGM lion (her name was Jackie) did not kill her trainer the day after they filmed the MGM roar. In fact, there were 3 different lions used (Jackie, Jackie II, and Jackie III). They were all trained by the same man, Melvin (Mel) Koontz. The filming of Jackie III's roar was in 1955 and is the take that we still see before an MGM movie today. So if she had killed Koontz, he would have died in 1955. But seeing as how he worked in the film industry, he is listed in IMDB, and they have his death as Oct. 27, 1992. |

Friday, February 10, 2012 3:49:50 PM saying something happened "about one month after" is not a trivia fact, its more of a trivia approximation. in fact, many of these are not actually facts. |
