Those fish are a frelling curse, by the way. They hold events where people "fish" for them with bow and arrow. |

oh really rick? how should it be dealt with genius? those fish are majorly drating up the eco system in the rivers they do not belong.. you know what the authorities have to do?? they electrify the whole river!!!!! killing some of the species native to the river.. its that big of a problem... but we cant harm the fish.. no thats just wrong.. go hug a tree seriously |

I get that there's a problem with over-population and/or invasive species, but this is not the way to deal with it, imo.
More importantly, I wonder what the "authorities" have to say about it. |

Ya know if you think this little thing is bad, when fishermen go out to sea they have to keep their catch below a limit. If they pass the limit for that type of fish they just chuck the dead body back into the sea... and that's 100's a day per fishing boat.
At least they are cleaning an infestation, so no troubles here! You could say... there are bigger fish to fry! *drum roll* |

Ya, I'm from Peoria and the majority of the Illinois river does contain Asian carp. They are extremely annoying if you want to do anything on the river. Also, I've seen on more than one occasion people doing this fishing/bashing on the river. |
