Friday, February 10, 2012 9:23:48 AM @MikeRotch - so glad someone else knows about Macklemore. What a great rapper. I also enjoy Jay-Z and Kayne on occassion. Can't listen to them all the time though. |

Friday, February 10, 2012 8:32:32 AM I went to this concert and actually it was really entertaining and fun. Don't necessarily like them, but I loved the concert. Their props were pretty badass. |

Friday, February 10, 2012 5:43:06 AM Kanye's live performance was weak. That man calls himself an entertainer? Stick to the studio buddy work buddy. |

Thursday, February 09, 2012 8:20:39 PM @MikeRotch Nas is still a nice combination of both sides. When it comes to straight lyrics, Slaughterhouse is excellent also. I haven't liked Jay-Z since Blueprint 2. Everything after has been awful. |

Thursday, February 09, 2012 7:04:26 PM As big a douchebag Kanye West is, I actually like most of his stuff. Not sure what this is, though. |

Thursday, February 09, 2012 6:22:57 PM McGovern - rap was founded on deep, meaningful songs. Real good rap is the most poetic form of music IMO. Braggadocio has also always been a big part of rap too. However, the best rappers (most of them were from the late 80s-early 90s) had a nice mix of stories, bragging songs, dance songs, and deep stories etc. It's difficult to find legit rap nowadays because labels will only pay rappers that appeal to the largest portion of fans. These days the largest portion of fans want songs about sex and drugs. However, if you search there are many great deep rappers out there, even today. The Roots, A Tribe Called Quest, Macklemore, Blue Scholars, Watsky, Hopsin and many more. You won't hear any of them on the radio though. |

Thursday, February 09, 2012 1:36:58 PM Why cause if you took bitch and nigga out of their songs it would only be half as long. Is there any rap that not about the rapper, hoes, sex or money??? Real deep stuff..... |

Thursday, February 09, 2012 1:30:57 PM To be fair, Jay-Z debunked the rumour that he wouldn't be saying bitch in his songs anymore.... also this song dooppee <3 I don't even know what that means No one knows what it means but its provocative No it's not... It gets the people GOING

Thursday, February 09, 2012 1:09:28 PM Link: Mid-Day Musicology: Jay-Z & Kanye West (Explicit) [Rate Link] - The song? 'Niggas In Paris.' During Black History Month. Jay-Z won't use the word 'bitch' but 'nigga' is OK? C'mon, man. |
