Saturday, February 18, 2012 8:18:28 PM I think there is a point where you are so shocked about something that you just laugh and can't act upset, but if I was that guy I would be crapping bricks about what I would do about my property. There will be some hefty work that has to be done to the house itself after the garbage is cleared out, who knows how much money he lost on that, and clearly the woman won't be reimbursing him for any of it. Guess the real lesson here is don't rent out your property or check on it more often. |

Saturday, February 11, 2012 4:43:25 AM I really hope that woman went somewhere safe where she could get help. This isn't laziness. It's a mental illness. I feel bad for both of them, really. |

Friday, February 10, 2012 9:27:28 AM I don't know who to feel worse for here; him, her, the dead cat? The woman's obviously got some serious psychological problems. On the other hand, I haven't the slightest idea how you'd even begin to clean that. Even in a hazmat suit, that poo tower is going to be scarring to have to clean. |

Friday, February 10, 2012 12:01:11 AM I don't know how he can stay so composed and cheerful in this video. Sure, he's gotten over the initial shock of it, but a feces monument..? |

Thursday, February 09, 2012 10:37:04 AM Poor guy... now he has to deal with all this before he can rent the house again. Even if he sued her for damage to the property, that's still a lot of work, and she might be bankrupt anyway... so he wouldn't get anything. Life as a landlord... ... and by his age I think its likely the property is under a mortgage too. |

Thursday, February 09, 2012 7:39:38 AM I know enough lazy people to understand the never throwing stuff away or cleaning. However, I'll never understand the smell part or the pile of poo in the bathroom. That was beyond gross. |

Thursday, February 09, 2012 7:13:00 AM I honestly don't know why he would let here stay. If that was my house, I'd have kicked her out too. I'd then call in a specialist cleaning team to deal with the toxic waste. Yes he may have seemed very casual about it but if you don't handle it as "one of those things!" then you'd break down in dispair. |

Thursday, February 09, 2012 5:18:29 AM I managed rentals for 15 years and saw some pretty disgusting stuff but no where as bad as this. Needless to say I no longer do rentals. |

Thursday, February 09, 2012 4:22:31 AM so she moved out and left everything behind? she had money for booze and pizza? i don't see this has hording, because it's mostly garbage that would normally accumulate if you choose to just drop it on the floor. she could have sold the tv, and some of the other stuff for money. i doubt it's fake, and yet at the same time, considering his calmness, the story doesn't just add up for me. |

Thursday, February 09, 2012 2:55:01 AM I'm amazed he walked in there in what looks like a t-shirt and jeans/shorts. I think I'd be wearing a full hazardous-material suit and gas mask before I even cracked the door open. |

Wednesday, February 08, 2012 10:53:48 PM Wow...just, wow. I can't *begin* to imagine how someone can live like that. I mean, hoarding stuff like books and papers and knick-knacks is one thing. But when your whole living space is ankle-deep or more in trash and you're pooing in the bathtub (rendering it useless for taking a bath or shower) and stacking used TP against the sink (rendering it useless for washing your hands), that goes way beyond anything I could ever hope to understand. |

Wednesday, February 08, 2012 10:40:16 PM Wow. I have to commend this guy on his easy-going attitude. If I had a mortgage on that house, I would be sitting on a chair somewhere with my face in my lap. |

Wednesday, February 08, 2012 8:59:03 PM This is almost exactly what my Dad's house looked like the last 8 years of his life. The only difference is since he didn't have plumbing, he shat in a cardboard box near the trailer door, which would leak all over the linoleum floor (what you could see of it) and newspapers when it was warm out. It was quite horrifying. Whoops, spoke too soon. The Toilet Paper Monument looks about correct. |
