Thursday, February 09, 2012 4:55:17 PM "The term 'contraceptives' in this case includes the 'morning after pill' which is an abortion inducing drug." Do you even know what the morning after pill is? It does NOT induce abortions. It may prevent a fertilized egg from implanting (the majority of fertilized eggs naturally don't implant already, but they aren't even called miscarriages because it's impossible to know whether or not the expelled egg was fertilized). But considering it wasn't implanted, it cannot be considered an abortion. She isn't considered pregnant at all until the fertilized egg implants, and you can't have an abortion without even being pregnant. |

Thursday, February 09, 2012 9:39:49 AM The morning after pill and abortion are two very, very different things. |

Thursday, February 09, 2012 8:51:33 AM "It mandates that all churches must include the option of contraception in insurance policies for their workers." Well if the church does its job of telling their workers how to think and what to believe the workers won't use the option and there is no problem. |

Thursday, February 09, 2012 5:58:28 AM He is over-ruling church doctrines, essentially using state policy to tell the church what to believe. Kind of like how churches lobbied for Prop 8, huh? Don't dish it out if you can't take it. |

Thursday, February 09, 2012 1:14:23 AM MEH... abortions should be available and legal..., To pretty much everyone!!@!!!! IF YOU have had an abortion, AND require another one... then questions SHOULD be asked!!!! APART from that i think that they should not be regulated... BUT FFS.., I have terminated a child... IT WAS ONE OF THE HARDEST THINGS I HAVE EVER DONE!!!!! I am also NOT religious.... SO on those grounds... im okish.., But again, i didnt find it an 'easy' thing to do.. or the 'easy way out'.. I personally HATE the people who describe it that way... |

Wednesday, February 08, 2012 11:04:01 PM If it impedes upon ones religious practice to perform an abortion, then instead of monetizing on healthcare maybe they should just do it for drating free that way they can decide what treatments to offer. They cant pick and choose which laws agree with their beliefs and only follow those. Only corporate executives and politicians are above the law. |

No. It mandates that all churches must include the option of contraception in insurance policies for their workers. Wednesday, February 08, 2012 8:47:55 PM The term 'contraceptives' in this case includes the 'morning after pill' which is an abortion inducing drug. Obama promised religious groups wouldn't be forced to pay for abortions through Obamacare, I guess he lied eh? I wonder how Muslim groups will like this rule, since it also applies to them and I'm fairly sure they don't allow abortions either. But in reality: you cannot be denied a right just because your boss doesn't believe in it, so Catholics (and everyone else) should have known this was comming. |

Wednesday, February 08, 2012 7:59:19 PM I know that IAB is really anti Obama, but at least be accurate. It mandates that all hospitals must provide contraception. Keep in mind that they receive public funding, and usually only a minority of workers and patients are of said religion. Don't be a twat IAB, and don't put false headlines like this on the site. |

Wednesday, February 08, 2012 7:43:24 PM I think absolutely that religious organizations should have the right to make their own rules- when they pay taxes. |

Wednesday, February 08, 2012 4:38:24 PM I think as soon as the Catholics realize that the conservative are lying to them about this it will actually strengthen their ties to Obama. |
