Friday, February 03, 2012 2:35:31 PM Razbitom, from people who have moved here from Puerto Rico, it isnt that they are refused statehood. It's more along the lines they they do not want to be a state. As it is they do not have the pay the same taxes we do here on the mainland [or in Alaska or Hawaii]. This could be wrong, but its just what I have been told by friends and their families in their long talks of the island. |

Friday, February 03, 2012 2:04:35 PM Do any of you realize that all they do is ask a whole bunch of questions and only pick the really bad ones? You can see some kids appear in only one or two questions, that's because they answered most correctly, and they probably questioned way more people than that. As someone who is not American, I don't find most of this questions basic knowledge. |

Friday, February 03, 2012 1:56:03 PM actually there *should* be 51 stars on the flag. when will puerto rico get recognition? forced to use US money and obey US laws, nominally US citizens but without the right to vote in presidential elections or to have any true voice in US affairs. just give 'em the damned statehood already. yeesh. |

Friday, February 03, 2012 12:43:06 PM What you guys have to understand is that it's not the kids that are faulty, it's the education system. It's based on cramming facts into kids heads for the tests. Once those tests are done the kids discard what they learned to make room for more information for the next test. It's not the people that are flawed, it's the education system |
