Although my four-year-old son (white Canadian kid) did name his stuffed owl "Julio Mendez". I have no idea where he came up with that name. |

I thought it was cute and well done. I never would have let my children name their animals that even if they had no idea what they were saying. My 4 yo son wanted to name his cat beanie baby "Gina", not Gee-na, Gy-na. Not happenin'! |

I have a relative that named his dog 'sh|t head', occasionally it would get lost, and since that was the only name it would answer to, him and his parents would have to go around the neighborhood yelling 'Here, Sh|t head!'.
That got a lot of evil looks and cussing back at them.
So be careful what you name your pets. |

When my son was very young he won a stuffed dog at the fair. He named the dog "eye-scroo". No joke...eye-scroo the dog!
