The source has me wondering how much or how little truth is in this.
From another of the "articles" on that site, on "real" time travellers:
Pasko Kuzman is a Macedonian archaeologist whose findings are considered incredibly important in his field — oh, and he's also a self-proclaimed time traveler. He wears multiple watches on one arm, which he says help him travel through time: one takes him back to the Bronze and Neolithic Age, one takes him to the future, and the third is "The Archeologists' Watch," which alerts him to the presence of gold. Could his archeological fame be due to actually having visited the past?

I think the whole slideshow thing is caused by software limitations (much like what we've seen here on IAB in fact)
I'd guess their software doesn't allow articles with lots of full sized pictures, so they get around it by making a slideshow with the article cut up to fit into the captions.
There are probably a few who've decided to stick with the slideshow in spite of software upgrades because they think it's easier than writing and formatting a proper article, too. |

I'm more curious as to how presenting things in a 'slideshow' has become as popular as it is.
Am I the only one who can't stand it? The only reason I can think of it being put in is to either increase unique page visits on a website (as opposed to unique visitors total) or for it to load more than it needs to. |
