Monday, January 30, 2012 4:47:11 PM Alanda and thatjimguy .... Where are you? Hell, U.S.A.? Seriously, get some counseling. There's a HUGE difference between standing up for yourself and not letting the other person run over you and "controlling them". Please learn the difference and apply it to your relationships! |

Monday, January 30, 2012 8:53:36 AM I've been happily married to my wife for 14 years. We are both Atheist. To suggest that any sort of imaginary sky wizard is a requirement for a good marriage is one of the stupidest things I've ever heard anyone say. |

Monday, January 30, 2012 12:53:02 AM I've visited many of the greatest churches in Europe and never felt God in any of them. I walked into the Notre Dame with the organ going full blast and a choir singing a beautiful song - nothing. I felt nothing in the Vatican (We'll I did feel a bit of disgust at the opulence). Up hiking though I may have felt something. Not sure. |

Sunday, January 29, 2012 3:31:43 PM I'm with Feefee, his POINT is legit, but he seems to relate it to religion in a way that it doesn't relate. You don't need jesus for a marriage to work, I know loads of divorced catholics, protestants, quakers, and atheists, but I know of no divorced people who married their best buddy. A good spouse will make you laugh, provide solace in your dark moments, and be a true companion, sex is nice, but really a bit further down the list. |

Sunday, January 29, 2012 2:31:00 PM @Alonda @Realbad Not just out of experience, but what I see. Most women, with few exception, naturally gravitate to power submissively and take power and use those from those who give equal respect.

Sunday, January 29, 2012 1:43:53 PM @thatjimguy I find it sad that you think that way. I think what it comes down to is the kind of person you date. |

Sunday, January 29, 2012 1:03:01 PM @thatjimguy "If you don;t control the woman, she walks all over you and disrespects you and she'll go to someone else." A good one wouldn't :) It's sad that this is true in any relationship.
