And yes, I scrolled the whole page 5 minutes after opening it in the background...nothing. Opened the image in a new tab, loaded immediately.

Why is it that seeing the Earth so much bigger than normal makes it seem so much smaller?

I didn't realize that most of the US is brown from above. Doesn't look that way on Google Earth.

Somebody should seriously photoshop the lines of the states and whatnot in... This would be cool to see with the lines.

@FemBot Mexico looks more brown to me

Being Mexican that isn't a racist comment but if you laugh you definitely are

Warning:
Picture is 8k X 8k totaling over 15Mb

Also, you will probably need to scroll over and down AFTER it loads because it is so large that the screen is still black. The corners are pitch black so don't think that it didn't load.

I realize that structures can't be seen from space, but it looks like our cities don't even exist. It's strange, I thought that there would be like little dark grey spiderwebs of discoloration but instead all I see is what looks to be brown dirt.

Florida probably shouldn't be as brown as the mid-west.

Is this for real? And a single photo and not a composite? I ask because you can see all the way from Cape Cod to Key West. If that's for real, it's epic.

Why did they tale a picture with the Midwest taking up so much of the frame? It's so ugly. Africa or South America would be prettier.
