Amazingly, after all this time, the Microwave is still an awesome electronic gadget! The rest of them, well, they had their time and faded away - but how many people have a better replacement for a microwave?

Okay, why is it that I thought these things were older than this. The Nintendo really came out a year AFTER me? That means I'm older than Super Mario.

Wait, where the hell's MY princess?

I remember when you could rent vcrs from the video store. It was a big deal when my parents would rent one. Our first one also had a cord with the remote but I thought that was the greatest thing in the world!

@Byfield- No you don't. Cassettes have been dead longer than you've been alive.

Oh wait, you're from Europe...

I remember when CD walkmans made their way into the limelight, thus ending Cassette Tape's glorious reign.

Hell yes I know what a walkman is. My first tape was the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack. The heat is on, b*tch.

We had a VHS player in 1978. of course, the thing was as big as the house, but they were around back then.

Of course I know what a f*cking Walkman is. What kind of f*cking retarded question is that?

The VHS player was rockin full tilt in 1982!

The old r66tramp is absolutely right, we got a VHS player in 1983, with a timer so we could tape late night TV shows ("Friday Night Videos" mostly) but I remember renting videotapes and having to be careful to get VHS instead of Betamax. Of course I was only seven years old at the time.

Ah.. VHS. Rambo: first blood, Re- Animator, Faces of Death, The Toxic Avenger and of course anything zombie- related. I loved that stuff. Parents thought I was watching Mickey Mouse.
