Tuesday, January 31, 2012 3:16:04 PM that was a stupid thing to do. the puke scene, gross, and fake. blood isn't that color, that was pink. like the color of cool aid. and i'm betting it would hurt a lot more like not being able to breathe if he threw it all up. and really, a camera every time he was in a different room? the red part looked real, hard to fake that. |

Thursday, January 26, 2012 1:52:40 PM Fun fact: did you know that certain peppers are hot in order to discourage mammals from eating them? Birds (I think they're it?) do not respond to the chemical in peppers that we find so damn spicy, so they happily eat the peppers and seeds without a problem then fly away and crap them out, safe and sound someplace far away. When mammals eat peppers, either their digestive system destroys the seeds or the seeds don't get to travel far, and so it's in the plant's best interest to try to prevent non-birds from eating the seeds. That's where the painful spiciness (due primarily to capsaicin I think) comes in. I guess that's also why seeds are often the spiciest part; they're the part that the plant is most concerned about (not concerned, since plants can't be concerned, but you get my point) |

Thursday, January 26, 2012 12:11:57 PM Something about the fact he keeps the camera with him at all times makes me suspect a very well performed and real vomit-enduced fake. |

Thursday, January 26, 2012 7:31:19 AM I recall seeing an infograph about how much hotter these actually are than other peppers. It was a huge difference. |

Thursday, January 26, 2012 7:22:29 AM they are only the hottest pepper in the world as of today. Untrue. Naga Viper pepper, Infinity chilli, and the Trinidad Scorpion Butch T pepper are all higher on Scoville scale, with the Trinidad currently being the hottest according to Guinness Book. |

Thursday, January 26, 2012 7:14:46 AM @alikabul why do you think peopel turn red while eating hot peppers? its b/c the blood rushes to the skin trying to heal what it thinks is damaged. if you have a cut or thin layers of skin its very possible for it to bleed while eating this amount of ghost peppers. they are only the hottest pepper in the world as of today. |

Thursday, January 26, 2012 4:26:24 AM Altaru: I'm calling bullsh|t on your claim of, "I ate an entire BAG raw at one point." If you'd had, you'd have needed emergency medical attention. The human body can NOT handle that much capsaicin, all at once, even if acclimated to eating hot peppers on a regular basis. I've ate haberneros, and regretted it, after becoming acclimated to jalapenos. Since then the hottest I'll eat are Tien Tsin peppers used in authentic Gen. Tso's Chicken. The 'Butch T', aka Trinidad Scorpion he ate was 50% hotter than the Bhut Jolokia's he was eating. The dose he ate was enough to cause respiratory distress, erosion of the mucosal lining in the stomach, sinuses and esophagus, elevate blood pressure and possibly even kill some people. Milk can certainly help alleviate some of the effects, but it takes hours for the liver to process capsaicin. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME or you will end up in the ER. |

Thursday, January 26, 2012 3:01:12 AM For those of you too lazy to look stuff up- Ghost peppers, depending variety, are somewhere between 990.000 and 1.050.000 on the Scoville Scale (measurement of the amount of Capsacin in the product, which is the chemical that makes your mouth burn). To put that into a frame of reference, Jalapenos are around 2.500-6.000 depending on the variety, Habaneros around 95.000-115.000 As for the color of his blood, the camera has some pretty pooty colors to start with-look at his faces colors in the same few seconds. The light is reflecting and confusing the hell out of the sensor. |

Thursday, January 26, 2012 12:04:10 AM I don't know, obviously, but the "blood" looks kinda pink to me. Would the ghost peppers look that pink-ish when it's been ground and had water added? |

Wednesday, January 25, 2012 9:47:20 PM I found the guy. It looks like this is all the guy does is eat hot stuff. If you ask me he is trying to kill himself. One of the videos on here shows a guy chugging a bottle of hot sauce. www.firebreathingidiot.com |

Wednesday, January 25, 2012 8:36:24 PM i dont see how you say this is fake. while yes, the main chemical in peppers doesnt cause bleeding, people react differently to it. if he had an ulcer or a undiagnosed tumor, the massive amount of capsaicin could cause a chemical reaction that would cause bleeding. and as for the blood color, dont forget it also his body trying to get rid of the peppers and their chemicals. your body can only handle so much of the toxin of the peppers because thats what is causing the reaction, capsaicin is a toxin, while in small doses releases endorphin's to counteract the pain. but its an online video and most things online are fake to a degree. if he really did eat those peppers and does not have a serious digestive or even esophagus damage i would be surprised. but not smart at all. hope he had a bowl full of tums after this or had a medic near by. |
