The cop was standing outside the window on the lawn,
there could have been landmines, somebody could have aimed a bow behin dthe window, or a bazooka.
hell, they could eveb have flame throwers installed in the window sill. no threat is no threat. Cop should be trailed tresspassing, and murder. |

A cop can kill someones pet wrongfully, a trigger happy cop, and still keep his job.

If she didn't want her dog shot by a cop she shouldn't have ... been sitting peacefully at home in her own property with the dog chained up.
That kind of provocation deserves everything it gets. |

It WAS a long chain; the dog could have charged the cop for some distance and not appeared to be on a tether. On the other hand, Quick-Draw McGraw didn't waste any time plugging the poor animal when he could backed off first to see if it was was chained. |

Maybe not warm blood, but definitely in hot blood, as in the "heat of battle". "Murdered in cold blood" just means that it was a calculated enough act that emotions had previously run their course.
With that said this post would not be a good example of a "cold blooded" killer, since the dog probably rushed the cop, therefore forcing the cop to make an irrational choice. |

Typical news not reporting the full story. More than likely this big scary dog on this big scary chain rushed at the officer. I really doubt it was just sitting there and he shot it. It is a sad story all around. |

To be fair...
It's possible that the dog charged and in the dark the officer could not see the dog was on a chain and shot before the dog reached the end of the chain.
More likely it's a gun happy moron with a badge. just sayin' |

So...he gets to drive around a neighborhood, go to whatever home he wishes, trespass simply because he has a badge, shoot the first living thing he finds, and gets away with impunity? Fire him, arrest him, and jail him. As far as I know, all states have laws against negligently firing a weapon in a residential area, trespassing, and killing someone's pet without just cause. |
