Friday, January 20, 2012 4:33:46 PM "If the creator is literally making millions, or the actors, etc. Then I could care less if someone pirates." This is not about piracy, it's about as one person put it "Closing a busy expressway because some people use it to transport illegal drugs, and screw anyone else who might need to use it." |

Friday, January 20, 2012 1:44:33 PM I contend all federally elected officials regardless if they are Democratic or Republican if they have held office in the last 8 years are not worthy of your vote for any current or future position. These are literate people who have been versed in the law who have supported or authored legislation that subverts every Americans citizens right to "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." For now, we have the most powerful tool in our personal arsenal, our vote. Use it wisely.

Friday, January 20, 2012 1:04:26 PM It's on the "backburner" hopefully waiting until the world forgets about it so then they can re-introduce it. What they fail to realize is that the Internet NEVER forgets! |

Friday, January 20, 2012 12:40:17 PM This would be such an epic win if only they would just do away with it entirely instead of putting it on hold. With this bill just sitting there waiting to one ay attack us when we turn our backs it really doesn't place me to much at ease. |

Friday, January 20, 2012 12:12:03 PM Good, but someone needs to remind Patrick Leahy, that the real drain on the US ecomony is not pirates in Russia and China, it is overbloated executive bureaucracy plus our welfare and defense spending. Lastly my suggestion to Hollywood is that if they want to curb piracy then they should just cut prices. |

Friday, January 20, 2012 12:06:57 PM If the creator is literally making millions, or the actors, etc. Then I could care less if someone pirates. Its the small studios, stratup artists, etc that I put my hard earned dollars to. Disney, Universal, accept lower profit margins, its not like you are hurting. |

Friday, January 20, 2012 11:52:07 AM Yes Gerry1of1, there may come a day when the situational awareness of men fails, when we foresake our internet and break all bonds, but it shall not be this day! |

Until something distracts us and they'll slip it through. Sorry to sound defeatist, but that's the trend I see in the government. Corporations put way too much money into this to give up. |

Friday, January 20, 2012 11:34:37 AM Per Leahy "Criminals who do nothing but peddle in counterfeit products and stolen American content are smugly watching how the United States Senate decided it was not even worth debating how to stop the overseas criminals from draining our economy," WHAT A DOUCHE! |
